I received a B.A. degree in Art Education from the University of Washington, University of Idaho, University of Southern California, Long Beach State College, and various workshops throughout California. Previously I was an art teacher in the secondary level in Washington and California.
Currently I am involved with Plein Aire painting (PAPASAN), figurative painting, and print making techniques.
Having an interest in art from early childhood, it has become a full time passion to paint, honing skills lying dormant all these years. In constructing art I sense and seek the wonders of color, the impact of shapes and their relationships, the sensitivity of line, the drama of light and shadow.
My constant search for the elusive "perfect painting" is never ending. It is a strange and beguiling mystery, this creative process, leading me to confront the artist within.
