I am positively joyous when I am outside, in front of my easel endeavoring to capture on canvas the beauty of our Western landscape.  I seek to have the viewer feel my elation, a special kind of tranquility and peace, just as I do." Terry has been drawing and painting since early childhood, graduating from San Diego State University in 1975 with highest honors and distinction in art.   Subsequent studies were with Sergei Bongart, Sebastian Capella, John Asaro, and others, including workshops with Wolf Kahn and Ray Roberts.  Professional affiliations include Plein Air Painters of San Diego, Laguna Plein Air Painter's Association, California Art Club (Associate Artist), American Impressionist Society, and AAASD.
